Description

This was a lucky shot trialing a new Sigma 14 mm lens.  The amazing thing about being this far north this time of year is how early dawn comes; even when I started taking pictures at 3:45 am, you could see the first lush of light on the NE horizon.  This image was taken at the end of the dock, so always a challenge with star shapes, even with shots limited to 15s in Live View with mirror lockup.  I remember seeing the bright flash of the meteor and thinking "I hope that was in the field!"
